About the Speakers
Linda Burke has 18 years experience in consulting, training and coaching for businesses and individuals. Prior to starting Taylor Performance Solutions, Ms. Burke was a Corporate Training Manager for two global financial institutions. While in these positions, her initiatives and training programs resulted in increased sales, improvement in customer satisfaction, increased employee satisfaction and reduction of expenses.
In 2003, Ms. Burke founded Taylor Performance Solutions, Inc. Taylor Performance Solutions specializes in custom designing training programs to support business when they want to increase sales, improve service and develop strong leadership. Her team has experience in multiple industries and has worked with all levels of employees in companies with 20 to 3,000 employees.
Ms. Burke was featured on the News 12 show Jobline which focused on "Enhancing Your Skills in the Workplace Moving Up the Corporate Ladder." She was President of the American Society of Training and Development Long Island Chapter for 2006-2008 and is active in the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women and The Society for Human Resource Management. She teaches workshops for the New York State Small Business Development Center and the company is an eligible provider for the New York State Department of Labor.
Alan Knapp has over for 25 years assisting small and medium companies audit and evaluate their business systems and either improve the utilization of the existing software or help companies select and implement new software systems. He has directly worked with and assisted his clients improve business practices, evaluate IT systems, processes and controls, select and implement new business applications and develop business and technology plans.
His firm has performed corporate computer processing evaluation, which included walkthroughs, Control Activity Matrices & Testing for Operations, Application Development, Information Security and Business Continuity for Order Processing, Accounts Payable, Inventory transactions, Accounts Receivable & General Ledger. Additionally, his firm has assisted in establish Lean principles [Drum-Buffer-Rope] and created work cells that used visual controls, Kanban loading to drive production.
